In both 2023 and 2024, I worked alongside the Creative Director to art direct and fine-tune the branding and collateral for University of the Arts’ commencements. The initial ideation and creative direction were developed by interns which we then worked together to implement into the final materials.
In 2021, I was the commencement intern myself. This was the first year that a student had branded the university’s commencement, and since forth created a tradition. During my internship, I was tasked with developing the brand and taking the lead on all assets needed for the virtual commencement. The creative from this year focused on fading bitmaps as well as iconography for the different programs and awards in the school.
All commencement materials consist of the program book, ceremony slideshows, and print and digital assets. Since 2021’s commencement was virtual, it is the only one without the addition of banners designed and placed along Broad Street.
